When transferring your domain name away, you may need to unlock your domain name.
If you are trying to transfer your domain name away, you will likely need to unlock your domain name in order for the domain transfer to complete successfully.
1. Login to your client area and select the "My Domains" menu item under "Domains"
2. Click on the row of the domain name you are trying to unlock (clicking the domain name itself will open the website, so make sure to click around it or on the wrench icon at the end of the row)
3. Select "Registrar Lock" from the sidebar under "Manage"
4. Once the page loads, you'll be able to view the current status of the registrar lock. If the lock is set to "Enabled", then you won't be able to transfer the domain name. You can click "Disable Registrar Lock" in order to unlock the domain name.
If you are not planning to transfer your domain name, you must make sure that the registrar lock is enabled for the security of your domain name.
