The recommended way to reboot your server is by using your operating systems built-in reboot process. This makes sure that the system proceeds with a proper shutdown and that none of your data is corrupted due to an improper shutdown. However, if your server is stuck and you need to reboot it externally, you can follow the instructions below.
- Login to the customer center with your credentials, you can confirm that you're logged in by seeing "Hello, Name" in the top right of the page.
- Click on "CloudConsole" from the top navigation bar, this will redirect you to our cloud control panel.
- Once there, click on the three dots on the row of the server that you'd like to reboot and click on "Manage"
- On the server overview page, you will see a "Server Actions" menu on the top right corner, by clicking it you'll be able to see the "Reboot Server" button
Once you click this, our cloud platform will send a signal to the operating system to safely shut down, if it does not comply within 2 minutes, it will forcefully shutdown the machine and start it again. Your server should be rebooted at that point.
